BAPTISM CELEBRATIONS IN BRIDGE CHURCH

Baptism Celebrations are not to be missed in Bridge Church. The joy-filled atmosphere demonstrates that every decision made to follow Jesus is something to rejoice about.

You will hear faith stories of every person getting baptized, highlighting the events of life-change and hope in the future.

If you are thinking about getting baptized in Bridge Church, here are some frequently asked questions.

What is the meaning of baptism?

Baptism is an outward demonstration of a public decision. Baptism does not make you a believer — it shows that you already believe. Baptism does not “save” you, only your faith in Christ and through His power does that occur.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith … it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.” - Ephesians 2:8-9

Why be baptized by immersion?

Because Jesus was baptized that way.

“As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water.” - Matthew 3:16

Every baptism in the Bible was by immersion.

“… then both Philip and the mean went down into the water and Philip baptized him. When they came up out of the water …” - Acts 8:38-39

Who should be baptized?

Every person who has believed in Christ.

“Those who believe and accepted His message were baptized.” - Acts 2:41

When should I be baptized?

As soon as you have decided to receive Christ in your life, you can sign-up for the Baptism Class and get ready for the next Baptism Celebration.

Can babies get baptized?

We encourage every parent to wait until their children can make a conscious decision to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Therefore, we do not baptize infants in Bridge Church. If you would like to know more about this, please contact info@bridgeomaha.org.
